Hi ladies,
After 3 failed attempts and a clueless dr,also 8 months suicidal last year,I think I may have cracked it. I was first given elleste which didn't make me feel any better,so I just stopped it,I thought maybe it wasn't menopause at all.then I got so poorly last year, I thought I was dying, there was no way I thought it was menopause, my dr didn't either as I have suffered with anxiety and depression before. I changed my ads and was also given femoston 1/10,same as before so I just thought it's not meno,so stopped again, then after doing some research and finding this excellent web site,I went back to dr and asked for patches or gel, he said gel wasn't an option and after some arguing about cost,he gave me evorel conti, still no change, mood swings terrible, awful fatigue.i went back and asked to try gel,but ended up leaving with femoston 2/10,I was fed up of fighting him, after nearly 2 months, mood swings terrible, fatigue as bad as ever,I rang the drs and was given an appointment with the duty dr,told her I didn't want anymore tablets, she said that just leaves patches,I said and gel, I think she was shocked I knew, anyway, she gave me sandrena gel 0.5,first 3 days I felt the same, but with the help of this website, found out this was too low,so I doubled the dose and hey presto, just 6 days later and I'm feeling a lot better.not so tired, mood swings almost gone. I just wanted to thank all the ladies who have replied to my posts, and maybe this may help someone in the same position.
