So I am pretty sure I've no eggs left (had a scan) but I still get mid cycle mucus. I read that this is because I am taking estrogen so nothing to worry about. But this month has been weird. I upped my estrogel to 3 pumps (long story why) and then noticed that the so called mid cycle mucus ( it's not an infection) was going on for a long time - currently 2 weeks. So I did some research and it said it could be caused by too much estrogen. So I've now reduced my pumps (temporarily) down to one a day but still the mucus continues to appear. Any ideas what the hell is happening and am I right about the estrogen connection? Thanks and sorry this is a bit icky!

I am on the gel I dont get it midcycle but almost daily its like water gushing out of me, clear, odourless, forgot to ask the gynae when I saw him last week but am sure its due to the oestrogen in the gel.

Maybe put the name of the gel into the search box on here?

Watery discharge could be the start of vaginal atrophy, it is quite a common symptom of this. If vaginal swabs show no infection, I would suggest trying some local oestrogen (Vagifem or Ovestin) to see if that does the trick.

You will find plenty of threads about *that* one, mine - "My Bladder etc." ::)
Discharge is normal as long as there is no odour and it is colourless ;-)

Is it stretchy? If you can stretch it between your fingers to several centimetres it is high oestrogen. Watery and clear is not high as far as I understand it.This may help http://www.cemcor.ubc.ca/resources/perimenopause-time-%E2%80%9Cendogenous-ovarian-hyperstimulation%E2%80%9D
