Hi Ladies
I last posted in January when I was about to stop taking Elleste Duet 2mg. I had a Mirena fitted on the 7th February and started Oestrogel a week before, 1 pump on each inner thigh in the mornings. I still have spotting every day but the ‘periods' I have had have been lighter and pain free, wish I'd had one years ago!
The only thing that has gotten worse are palpitations, the week after my coil had been fitted I had to turn back home on my way to work as my heart felt like it was jumping out of my chest, saw my GP who agreed it was probably hormone related and not to change my Oestrogel dose. I have never been an anxious person (although I think I probably have health anxiety now) and find that my palpitations are generally linked to indigestion and heartburn and Gaviscon helps.
Has anyone else experienced this, and can anyone please offer any advice?
Thank you :)

Palpitations will get better - very typical I'm afraid. To reduce heartburn, reflux etc you need to eat much smaller meals regularly, cutting down on fat and sugar - try eating half portions and eating very slowly. Drink enough water and avoid caffeine, fruit juice and alcohol. Mint tea after a meal is great to reduce indigestion. DG x
