Title: What's going on
Post by: Herbie73 on April 06, 2018, 04:30:56 PM
So Im really not sure what's going on at the moment, I was late 2 months ago about 3 days, then that month didn't get my usual day of mid cycle spotting, but spotted about 7 days before my period then had a 7 day normal period, then didn't spot again until my 1 day mid cycle bleed, after that I have had the odd tiny bit of blood but nothing like last month, so now this month I am about 3 to 4 days late, had a bit of light bleeding today, but now it seems to have stopped, I went to the Drs on Tuesday, had my cervix checked all looks ok, pelvic exam all felt ok, dr took a couple of swabs results are not back yet, had hormone blood test, that came back normal so I am so confused and even more worried, waiting for dr to call to explain results, has anyone had a problem like this.

Thanks :'( :'(

Hi and welcome to MM
How old are you?
If you are in your 40s then it is common to get early peri menopause symptoms such as you are experiencing.
Read up all the info on this site to get clued up. There is a link to a very good article ‘the Perils of peri menopause' that will tell you most of what you need to know - it's in All Things Menopause' under fast links

You may well be getting early peri symptoms. Hormone levels start to fluctuate and your natural cycle may get longer or shorter and bleeds may be shorter, longer, heavier or lighter. Your may get normal cycles for a few months and then get erratic cycles for a few months. No two women will go through the same menopause experience. I think most women think that periods will simply stop at some stage and that is it - nobody tells us what to expect so it can be shock when problems emerge. This site helps women to prepare and cope with all that the menopause brings. Keep posting. DG x

My therapist often asked me 'what is the worst that could happen' ........ maybe that the health anxiety won't go away ?  >:(  ::)

Let us know how you get on?
