Title: Hormone Levels
Post by: jenjog on April 04, 2018, 11:10:29 AM
Hi Everybody
Has anyone else had menopausal symptoms but hormone blood tests seem normal? Luckily I have a good GP and discussed my symptoms, sweats, anxiety, tiredness, forgetfulness, heavy periods. He said it was worth taking a low dose of HRT. I've been on Elleste Duet for three months and do feel better. He did say that blood tests are not completely accurate as hormones fluctuate daily.

Hi and welcome to MM jenjog

Your GP should go on symptoms, not blood tests, when treating meno symptoms, as blood tests are not reliable for diagnosing menopause issues. Pleased to hear you have a understanding and supportive GP and that the Elleste is helping.  Enjoy feeling better.  DG x
