Hi Ladies!
I'm new. I became post-menopausal in my late 20s. After spending the last ten years without HRT I've recently been given bioidentical. The pill and regular hrt was making me crazy! I've suffered lots of bone loss and grieve every day for the children I haven't had. No cause has been found for my ovarian failure.
Looking for company and women that understand. Most women my age are getting married and having children so most think I'm making up my symptoms or being dramatic. I know it sounds vain but I want to feel pretty and youthful and happy.

Hi Loobylou you've come to the right place and I'm sure you'll find lots of help and support on here .
I'm on oestrogel and utrogestan and Testogel and it's the best hrt I've been on.
-
Thank you Dotty :)
What dosage are you on? What benefits and side effects have you noticed?
-
4 pumps of gel
100 mg of utrogestan for 25 days
Blob of Testogel
Night sweats have stopped
No side effects
How about you?
-
How long have you been on hrt for?
The estrogel doesn't seem to have any side effects so far but I am on a very low dose.
Utro made me sick and dizzy by mouth so took it vaginally and it gave me thrush. It also makes me really wired at night and wake up a lot. Ive also developed spots on my face.
Testim hasn't really had any noticeable effects.

Been on this for 6 weeks after tablet hrt didn't work for me.
Testosterone can take 4/5 months to work.
Perhaps u need more oestrogel as you are very young.
What symptoms are you trying to alleviate? X
-
Yes, I do think I should have a higher dose. I have a follow up appointment in May.
Well, as I don't have any major noticeable symptoms. I've never had hot flashes. I have had migraines and I do suffer from anxiety now much more than I used to. I can't remember the last time I truly laughed with joy. I have osteopenia in my spine. My hormone results in January were the lowest they have ever been so certainly need to stay on this now.
I was having a stressful time at work and so the doc signed me off for 4 weeks. I'm worried nobody will give me a job now because of this.

If your anxiety is caused by low hormones then hrt should help but it will take time .
-
Havre you noticed an improvement in your mood, energy and skin?
-
Mood hasn't been a problem for me. Energy slightly improved. Skin not noticed anything. Hair is shinier and smoother x

Yes loubylou all of them I'm 61 this year and have my glow back again as you will gather I'm extremely vain 😂 but hey why not I look bloody good for my age and I've only been back on hrt a few months,it's just the brain I need to get sorted out now hrt and positive thought does it for me.good luck xx

Hi Loubylou - I responded to you on the other thread.
I've just found this thread you have started and I'm appalled that you weren't given proper treatment sooner.
Regarding your bones, I'm sure you know that a good diet and weight bearing exercise are going to be crucial - finding the right exercise will be important so talk to a physiotherapist for advice about the best exercise for you.
I would try Femoston 1/10 to see if that suits you - your GP should be able to prescribe this so if Utrogestan is giving you side effects, I would switch to this sooner rather than later. There are plenty of options and we will try to help you find a positive way forward. DG x

Hi! The same here! I'm 42, on hrt, single and childless! Feel free to contact with me! My early meno was a huge shock for me but things get better day to day! :)

Please to meet you Emerald! Sorry to hear you went through it too. How old were you? Being single and menopausal - the dating minefield!

I was 41 but I had symptoms 3 years ago. I try to go on my life, to focus on my career and not to think so much about it. :)
