I'm thinking of going there, My Gp has already told me to come back for HRT when I don't have a period for a year. I'm definitely peri. Blood tests and symptoms have shown this. After a thread I put on her the other day and got great advice I'm thinking of just paying to see someone privately.
Cambridge is my nearest city.
Has anyone been there?

I don't know anyone to see privately in Cambridge but I can recommend Mr. Warren in Norwich. DG x

HelloPinkjan.
At the end of January I saw Imogen Shaw at the Nuffield Hospital in Cambridge. She was very helpful and gave me a private prescription for Oestrogel, Utrogestan and Vagifem. The appointment was for 40 mins and cost 180 pounds and she said I may like to return after 3 months to see how I'm doing. She was very sympathetic and reassuring and regularly holds a menopause clinic at the hospital.
Hope that helps and wishing you well.

Hi Kathleen what do you do for your repeat prescriptions if you don't mind me asking, has gp been co operative with your consultant.xx

Hello Daisydot.
My GP had actually offered Oestrogel and Utrogestan for me about two years ago so I knew my surgery were okay with prescribing them and it wasn't difficult to get the HRT on the NHS.
I hope this helps and wishing you well.
