Interesting article on the use of progesterone in perimenopause I just found, which does recommend Utrogestan instead of oestrogen therapy in peri due to the high oestrogen vs low progesterone in this phase. Good for flushes and sleep too. Also that it helps to transition the oestrogen receptors so that when menopause hits and oestrogen rapidly falls, the rise will be a lot smoother!
I'm sticking with my cream for now but would give it a try if any problems.

I think most of us on this forum would like more research into how the various menopause stages could be treated more effectively. A more tailored approach is definitely needed and I believe drug companies are missing a trick when it comes to finding more options for meno treatment. DG x
