I'm sure people are getting more and more impatient and just cant wait a minute.
Today I was in a small alcove in a charity shop and standing looking at folders of knitting patterns. There was just room for one person. a well dressed woman about my age was pushing at my side and I asked her where she was trying to get to. She said she wanted to look at the knitting patterns. I said “Well youre going to have to wait because theres not room for two peopleâ€.
She just carried on elbowing me out of the way so I gave up and walked across the shop. When she had finished I went back to carry on looking and she came over and said “excuse me but I would just like to point out that I had been waiting behind you.†I couldnt help it I just said “well you might have waited a bit longer.†;D ;D. Her husband looked really embarrassed.
Then OH came home and said he had to reverse his van all the way up a narrow lane because a woman in a mini car refused to back up yet she was only a few feet away from a pull-in.
Whats wrong with people?

Totally agree!
Did you see the the recent case of a blind man with his guide dog being escorted on an escalator by a member of rail staff and a really rude person behind moaning loudly about them holding them up!!!!
I guess life is just too fast paced for some people :scottie:

I couldn't agree more, can I add two more to the list: people who want your parking space but hardly give you any room to manoeuvre out >:( and checkout queues where they push their trolley into you or keep pushing past to put their shopping on the conveyor >:(
If I'd been you I'd have taken my time to look at the patterns and made her wait longer ::)

That did cross my mind but I decided to just walk away rather than get stressed.

My pet hate is when you let someone out in a queue of traffic and they dont put up a hand to acknowledge that you have done that. Also when I am waiting to get into the traffic and no one lets me out!!! There dosent seem to be any karma!!

;D
We had a similar situation yesterday whilst queining 1st outside a popular cafe - a man wandered by us, opened the cafe door, shouted to his 4 friends 'there's plenty of room in here' ...... even though we pointed out that it was a queue :bang:. "he's deaf" we were told 'but not blind' was my response :-X :P. They left PHEW!
People that over-take in a speed limit ........... 30mph is there for a REASON :cuss:

A friend of mine once witnessed a man who wanted a lady's parking spot but as you described, gave her no room to exit.
My friend wound down her window and shouted "Why don't you just give her some room?"
He shouted back "Hah! Look at you driving your husband's big car - you should be pushing a pram"
And quick as you like she yelled back "And you should be in it!"
Oh I loved it when she told me 😂

This is the opposite really:
Hubby and I were in our local Lidl. All the checkouts had queues and we joined one behind a lady who had just a single mango. The man in front had a trolley full that he was just starting to unload onto the belt and the lady politely asked if she could go in from of him. He said "No, go and join a different queue!"
I felt really sorry for her because she could have paid and left before he'd managed to get much more into the belt. She looked humiliated😔

That's awful I always look at the person behind me in the queue if I am doing a big shop and always let them go ahead of me and it's always nice when I only have a few bits and someone lets me go ahead. I don't know if it's just bad manners or some people seem to think that they are more important, time pressed etc than anyone else but it's just rude.

I wonder whether his response would have been the same if it had been a man :-\
