Title: HRT Stomach upsets?
Post by: Ruby10 on January 30, 2018, 11:02:35 AM
Hi I am seriously considering going on HRT for my symptoms which are at the perimenopause stage. Has anyone had any stomach upsets when going on HRT. Would i need to ask for patches to help this as would tablets upset my stomach? I seem so sensitive to herbal remedies. Is there a type of hormone you get put on first? I have had a blood test and it shows that the estrogen is low.
 Any advice would be great.

Patches are better than tablets if you suffer with digestive issues.

HI Dotty

Thanks, its horrible how i feel just need something to help me feel better. How long did it take for for it  to start to help your symptoms when being on HRT? I know that sometimes it doesn't work straight away for some people and the HRT has to be adjusted for some.

Day flushes went after 3 weeks.  Heart palpitations went after a couple of days.

Unfortunately, I'm still struggling with other symptoms so am looking to change my tablets foe patches or gel.
