My skin is itchy all over but mainly on my head has become so itchy since the peri. I have taken some hayfever tablets for this to see if it helps as its driving me mad and so sore where i am scratching. Anyone else have this ?

My scalp is worse effected and i do have some sore spots where the skin is dry and itchy. Not nice x

Itchy skin (like ants crawling over me) was one of my first symptoms of low oestrogen x

Itching all over the body is a sign that your oestrogen is too low. I found it happened to me a lot, particularly at night.

Is there anything that really helped with the itching ? I have taken a hay fever tablet and it eases it for so many hours but it's started again :'(

Hrt stopped mine within days x

I've had itchy skin, mainly at night, for a few months now. I didn't connect it until seeing this thread today! I started hrt this morning so hopefully the itches will soon be a thing of the past!

As oestrogen levels drop so the body may become dry: inside, out - nostrils, deep in the ears, eyes, skin, vagina :o - read up on those threads here. Also the muscles may become lax = aches and pains. Bugga ..........
I use Vaseline hand cream as necessary on my legs etc., getting into my ears is a different issue we call it 'spaniel ear' in this house ::)
