Title: Bladder.....having to push out my wee
Post by: KAH on January 24, 2018, 02:21:28 PM
Hey ladies,

For quite some time (probably over a year), I've had occasions when I've had to 'push' a wee out with my internal muscles otherwise it doesn't come out. It's not all the time, more often in the morning, and there's no other connected symptoms apart from this morning I've woken up with bad pain in the area I think my kidneys are in, which is what made me actually stop and think this could be a problem!
I dont get UTIs, as far as I know there's no blood in urine (although I know you can't always see it), no pain when peeing and I don't have to get up through the night to pee.
Has anyone else had anything like this? I'm 43 by the way and peri-menopausal xx

Blood in urine isn't a sign of infection anyway  :-\

Have you tried standing up over the toilet to pass urine?  Allowing Nature to encourage gravity to help?  I can't feel where my urethra is so am only aware of when I've finished because there's no noise  ::)

My friend had this problem, turned out she had a slight prolapse. She did have wee infections too because she wasn't completely emptying her bladder and stale urine was collecting in her bladder. She also started to have kidney pain before she was eventually treated. Just thought i'd mention her problem as it may be your problem too (or not  ;D ) :)

Thanks Snooze, read the other thread, very similar to my problem, wish it said what the problem turned out to be!

Was it not a blockage in the neck of the bladder?

Was it not a blockage in the neck of the bladder?

That was suspected so she was referred to a urologist x

Where is this thread? I can't find it and it sounds similar to a problem I've been having for years but never said anything to my dr about it.
