None of that stuff is a proper substitute for replacing lost oestrogen. Let's not kid ourselves, the only way to replace lost oestrogen is by using HRT.
I had an argument with an anti-HRT gynaecologist years ago and ended up drawing him a diagram. I drew a circle and wrote HRT in the middle, I then drew an outer ring of circles and wrote as many menopause symptoms as I could think of in each one. I then linked the outer circles to the inner circle by drawing a line to the centre circle with HRT written in it. This is sometimes referred to as a divergent circle diagram. He got the picture.
Nothing in that article would go anywhere near combating the debilitating sweating I had. High levels of oestrogen completely cured the problem virtually overnight.
HRT might not be a 'cure all' but the right type at the right dose it is a 'cure most'.
