Title: Elleste solo 1mg
Post by: Lisa1970 on January 18, 2018, 04:22:02 PM
Hi I'm
New to this forum so bare with me!
I recently have been prescribed elleste solo 1mg for symptoms of the menopause and have read a few discussions regarding whether it should be given to ladies who haven't had a hysterectomy? This is my first time trying HRT so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Lisa

Elleste solo is oestrogen only so for ladies who have had hysterectomy or u can use it with Mirena coil.

Have you had a hysterectomy?

No I haven't had a hysterectomy, and don't have the coil fitted either  I'm wondering whether to ring my surgery and double check it's ok for me. What difference would it make?

You need progesterone to protect your womb . Taking oestrogen only could lead to the womb lining building up too much.

Ring the surgery and ask for a different hrt
