Title: Tiblone and bleeding
Post by: Monmon on January 13, 2018, 01:48:11 PM
Hi all :)
I have been on Tiblone since about Jun/Jul.  Hadn't had a period for years due to mini pill which I came off about 5 years ago. Blood test before given Tiblone showed raised FSH.  I have had a couple of episodes of spotting but this week it has been a little heavier. It seemed to be stopping but I forgot my tablet yesterday  and suddenly this morning a  bright red bleed..not lots but more than spotting.  I have also had some tenderness in one side.  I have also had a few episodes of aural migraine.  I can't get a GP appointment for 2 weeks.  Should I stop the Tiblone or carry on with it?
Feeling concerned😦
Thanks for any advice.

I would keep taking it until you see your GP.

The bleed today is probably caused by forgetting your tablet. Withdrawal of the progesterone element can trigger a bleed.

Have you had migraines before?

Hi Taz
I used to have migraines quite a bit when I was younger..and then just very occasionally as I got older but just a few more lately with the eye disturbances rather than the headaches.

The bleed just gave me a fright..seems to have stopped though.

Thanks
