Hi there,
I've finally found a regime that I can tolerate after seeing a gynaecologist. My GP is anti hrt and I don't see the gynae again for 8 months.
What concerns me is my withdrawl bleed is very very heavy and painful. My GP has checked my estrogen and it was 250 which she was happy about as I'm on 100mcg patch.
Does the heavy bleeding point to the progesterone dose being to low ? Or just the wrong type for me? I'm on crinone 8 % every other day for 12 days. If I have to put up with the heavy bleed I will but I'm concerned I will get anaemic
Many thanks

The heavy bleed is probably because you are on such a high dose of Oestrogen. The average dose is 50mcg - the bleed is probably heavy because there is a greater build up of the womb lining due to the high dose of oestrogen.
