I have been reading lots of useful information on here and thought I'd join in. 50 yrs old, some minor ish symptoms .... possessed by a grumpy woman, tired, aching joints, forgetful and no libido. Still regular ish bleed. I made a meno cake today and thought I'd give that a go...so far I can only report terrible smelly wind...even the dog has moved away from me :( luckily Mr Hennypenny is away at the moment! Anyone else tried it? It may be my first and last meno cake bake!

Hello Hennypenny,
I'm new also and some of the members have replied to my post yesterday
So hello to you.
The reason I joined I think primarily was to get some reassurance and not feel alone whilst trying to ride this storm.
My main issues are my periods and anxiety, although have a lot of other symptoms that have appeared over last 12 months, you can read a few post below what I wrote when I introduced myself.
From what I have read so far you are not alone with your symptoms and I'm sure some of the ladies whom from readings their replies have a lot more knowledge than I will be able to guide you.
I don't know about the Meno cake but shall look it up. Poor dog!!
Best wishes,
Ginger

Hello ladies, I'm reserving judgement on the cake...it's nice but heavy going, you only need a little, the rest is in the freezer. Am I allowed to post a link here? Dog has forgiven me and I ❤️Her! and I'm not so bad wind wise today! I have a lot of reading and learning to do. I thought meno started when you missed periods ☹️

Hello again,
Glad the dog is ok😂.
I believe that once you are over 50 and not had a period for 12 months
and under 50 not had a period for 24 months then have gone from peri menopausal into Menopause.
If you go 7 months say then have a period you have to go back and start counting again.
I think that's correct I'm sure if not someone will clarify.
Ginger.
