Title: One Kidney and HRT
Post by: Carolyn Farley on November 03, 2017, 09:36:09 AM
Hello, I have one kidney due to renal cancer in 2014.  I would like HRT but my doctor will not prescribe it to me as she does not know what affect it will have on my kidney. Although not entirely happy as “she is the doctor” not me, we are both trying to find out.  I have been in contact with my urology department who all think that it would be ok if I had the patches (not direct to kidney) although they do not have any concrete evidence, they are in the process of asking the pharmacy for any information.  Can any of you help further please?  Many thanks. Carolyn.

Welcome!  I would think that your Consultant should be able to help.  There should be Papers out there somewhere as you probably aren't the first to make enquiries.

Maybe make a note of which symptom/s you would like to ease first?  Do take a note if you go for an appt..

Do let us know!
