Title: discontinued
Post by: Mini1 on October 31, 2017, 12:01:00 PM
Hi I was prescribed Kliovance 2 weeks ago.  I managed to get a couple of packets  but have just been told that it's now discontinued.

What do I do now?  Would I be best to change the HRT now before I get too used to the Kliovance?  I'm so fed up with the treatment I have had so far from my GPs.

Oh dear - I can't find any information about this? It must be very recent as it's not on various websites I've looked ( mind you I could be looking in the wrong place....) and MIMS doesn't list it (well not since 3rd Oct).

Yes maybe better to start with a different one - like Femoston. The main problem is that Femoston doesn't have a higher dose (ie 2 mg) in the conti HRT, and there is also not another lower dose 1 mg continuous combined HRT with the progestogen in it as Elleste. I'm sure Elleste Duet conti used to be available as 1 mg but I might be wrong...

It's all so frustrating isn't it? Good luck with it!
