Title: Pmt and nausea coming through on birth control
Post by: Peri-wrecked on October 28, 2017, 10:54:06 AM
Hello ladies, just wondering if I could get your input. I am on low dose birth controlat the moment for perimenopause symptoms but I am finding I am extremely nauseous on them to the point I have thrown up slightly in the mornings. I am mid cycle in the pack and today I have very sore breasts and just feel on edge and feel like crying at work. I also feel like throwing up as well.
I really dont know what my next step should be as higher dosw birthcobtrol give me severe headaches and extreme nausea. Anybody experience this? Also struggling with back pain as well.not on any other medication.
Your views greatly appreciated.

Which one are you on and how long ago did you start it? Also, are you having 7 day pill breaks as these make it worse and are not necessary.

Hi dangermouse, im on one called microlite, I switched from yasmin onto it. I am only on it a few weeks but its the 3rd pill I have tried.  I was told I could skip the break but to have a withdrawal every 2 months. I am just so confused. I used to be on yasminelle for many years but always had extreme nausea on it but didnt realise it was from it. I complained often to doctors but they could never find source of nausea so I just lived with it. It was 2 and a half years ago I came off birth control and nausea stopped but all other peri symptoms started.  I'd really like to just feel some way normal again. :(
