Cyclic? Do you have a bleed on this regime? Maybe keep a mood/food/symptom diary to see if there is a pattern?
I've had background headaches for a few years so I split my Propranolol to 20mg night and morning, last week I dropped the night dose as the headaches were bothering me.

...... and breath. It could be that you have a cyclic type of headache: pain, medication, pain worsens, raise medication ....... which may = extra tension.
I would ask for an X-ray of cervical spine to make sure about the level of wear and tear. Could you self refer to a physiotherapist for advice on posture? Some find sitting to iron for example helpful (I never could ::)). However, do not allow anyone to manipulate your spinal column. Could make matters worse.
Check your pillows? When did you last buy new ones, it might be worthwhile changing for a different type. How do you sit whilst working? Bad seating positions cause all types of problems >:(. Sitting whilst watching TV., typing etc.? A small adjustment particularly if you are in a working environment - where your Manager must make sure that you have the correct chairs etc. - can make a huge difference.
Are you hydrated? Lack of liquids can cause tension headaches. Relaxation therapy might help. Or yoga - we have various threads here about exercise etc..
I have a nerve in the back of my neck which makes me go 'oh!' when I move suddenly but not enough to go to the GP with ::)
Intolerance food tests need to be done under the care of a specialist. The idea is to withdraw 1 food that is thought to be causing problems and not eat it for 3 months, then gradually re-introduce it to see if there is a reaction.
T/H - total hysterectomy :-\ .
Have you put on actual weight? My belly dropped a few years ago due to lack of oestrogen, which can cause muscle laxity. I haven't put on weight but look fatter >:( :D .........

Yes I have put weight on around the middle, I am trying to exercise more and watch what I eat, I had a scan and do have some wear and tear and thats why I have gone back to Amitrypline and for about 3 months great, do you think its cause I have increased the Amitrypline thats made it worse, cause it was so bad this afternoon I took some Panadol extra and it help a small amount, i amd having issues with my new glasses as I have gone to varifocal and not seeing my laptop screen properly

I ditched my vari-focals ;D after about 2 days. They gave me a different kind of headache. In a drawer somewhere ......
Maybe go back to the Amitripalene as prescribed? Use a general pain-relief - advice from you local Pharmacy? - as necessary?
