Title: HRT Review
Post by: Tinkerbell on September 29, 2017, 11:16:15 AM
I have been on the full works HRT for a year now and have been called in for a review with a care assistant.
Apparently for BP check and blood test, why would I need a blood test? I wasn't given one before HRT was prescribed.
Also surely the care assistant isn't qualified to change any of my HRT.
I am worried it will be withdrawn for some reason and I am ticking away nicely on my combo at the moment!

Are you on testosterone?
Drs have decided I can only continue with testosterone if I agree to 3 monthly CBC tests for a year and annually thereafter.  I've never been so worried about results as I am collecting these ones

No testosterone, just oestrogel, Vagifem and Ovestin.
I shall be worried when I ring for my results too!

Well don't take any c£&p off them as your symptom relief is more important than your oestrogen levels

They're watching my red blood cell count closely as they say testosterone can increase it but I think that's more if you're injecting not rubbing a blob on each day.  Doesn't stop me worrying though each time they draw blood
