Hi All,

Does anyone know if the Evorel patch Estradiol is body identical ? i.e. made out of yams or natural ingredients ?

Big hugs

This is from the summary of the product characteristics for Evorel

"Estradiol hemihydrate:
The active ingredient, synthetic estradiol, is chemically and biologically identical to endogenous human estradiol. It substitutes for the loss of oestrogen production in menopausal women, and alleviates menopausal symptoms."

Hi there - all the oestrogen patches contain estradiol which is "body-identical" and as far as we know - derived from plant sources originally. The only ones that aren't (as far as I know) are the PRE ones containing conjugated equine oestrogens which come form horse urine. There are one or two tabs I think containing a mix of oestrogens but I presume they are all plant derived?
