Title: evorel conti and spotting more worry
Post by: Sarai on September 21, 2017, 08:10:44 PM
So I've been on patches since April building up slowly to full patch over at least a month.
Any ways I got bits and bobs of mucky discharge up to about 3/4 months.
Then totally clear up to today then I got a tiny bit of mucky discharge but I'm wondering if it's because last week my patch fell off due to too many baths and cream I think,I stuck it on with plasters but didn't replace for 3 days then carried on. It did the same this week but I did replace as it was same day. It's a new make too. Can anybody reassure me please?
Could I have upset the balance? As usually my heart was in my mouth when I saw it and panic set in?

I'm getting lonely here waiting so read the leaflet, it does say spotting is more likely if you forget to change a patch so I'm guessing technically having it float off in a magnesium bath means the hormones got washed off it.
And I had it stuck back on for 2 days

Hi sarai. I'd recommend changing the patch if it comes off fully especially in the bath. I used to always have s box of spares. Which patch is it out of interest? Femseven never used to stay on with me but Everol did! Good luck x

Optimist I know I was daft, I foolishly thought maybe it would be ok.
It is Evorel conti, this is the first time since April but I've had loads of mag baths, gone to hydrotherapy and I put cream on then forget.
Did you get spotting issues if you missed, or did you not let that happen?
I worry so much, it happened again today so I guess I've mucked up the balance. I hate being a worrier.

Spotting and breakthrough bleeding is common with a continuous hrt. It's listed under the side effects usually.

Hi Sarai
Hope things settle for you.  I've been using Evorel conti patches for over 2 years.
