Hello
I'm 52 and have been on Prempak C for a couple of years and done really well on it, I had ceased my periods for over 12 months When I started on HRT. After it was discontinued (anyone know why?) I was moved to Femoston .5mg. 6 weeks ago. I'm now getting night sweats and flushes again. My GP seems clueless about the menopause in general and it seems she will just shop me around other meds till we find one that works....I'm tempted to try and find a specialist but wondered if anyone knows if I up my femoston dose to the 1mg whether that is the best option. I was great on the .625 Prempak.

Hi Allaben
:welcomemm:
Yes definitely! No wonder you have experienced flushes and sweats again. You have gone from a medium dose of HRT ( albeit the horse oestrogens) to an ultra-low dose one! You don't need to go to a specialist but you would benefit from an increased dose to at least 1 mg Femoston. Are you happy being on a continuous combined ( no-bleed) HRT or would you prefer to remain on a cycle? If the latter then if Femoston 1 mg (1/10 or conti 1/5) doesn't work for you there is the 2 mg (2/10) available.
