Ladies, I just wanted to share with you a little idea I had one afternoon whilst driving (my job) when I had to undo my smart work trousers! 'I feel and look like I'm pregnant' - I thought to myself. Then it hit me - why don't I wear maternity trousers then? Genius - ordered some online and hey presto - they're much more adjustable than they were in my day (22 years ago!) and have those adjustable elastic strips with button holes. (like on kids trousers) Now I wear them for work with my work shirt over the top and no one knows that I look like a Weeble sometimes. I don't have to try to get through the day with a dreadful stomach ache because my trousers waistband is cutting me in half. I'm considering designing a set of menopause clothes, thin and airy for the hot flushes, maternity style trousers and skirts for the bloating, and a ready made drinks holder for the G&T!!! He He only kidding about that one!. Hope someone finds this useful. We're all in this together girls. x ;)

Hey SusieT love this idea. I bloat right out in the afternoon's too and am fed up with undoing buttons/changing trousers. Jumping in to my pjs seems to be getting earlier & earlier. 4.30pm today! 😄x

Aha, I can actually beat that today! I've had a day off 'cleaning' (how exciting) so I stayed in my PJs as I knew I'd overheat and get sweaty! When I'd finished I had a shower and - yes you guessed it - put on clean pyjamas!!! Living the bloomin dream here! Try to maternity trousers - I'm so happy I did. Take care fellow PJ girl. xx

Clean pyjamas ahhh, like music to my ears. I swear if I could spend every living moment in mine I would. Just need to sort the other bloody awful menopausal symptoms out first. 😠😠

I don't think that at my age, walking into Mother Care to buy maternity clothing would .......... :D

When I look in the full length mirror first thing in the morning, I actually look reasonably slim around the belly but it's not long before it starts to protrude. By the end of the day I think I look quite disgusting 😔
I plan to fill my winter wardrobe with loose fitting floaty tunics as I can't bear the sight of my spare tyre - it's depressing. The rest of me is slim and if I do lose weight, it must come off my ankles cuz it sure doesn't come off my belly!
I had a lot of use out of a waistband stretcher I bought from eBay but it's broken now. It could add a couple of inches to a tight waistband and made some of my trousers much more comfortable. I must buy another one😊

My thoughts Ariadne and I wouldn't have believed 6 months ago that I would be bothered by my belly, ever. Himself suggests that I do more exercise :-\ ........ we have a tread mill which hasn't been switched on since 1 day in Feb.. :-[ but it is easier to do other stuff. Like watch afternoon TV :-X
