Hi ladies
I'm back after a break from the forum.
It will take me awhile to catch up but hope everyone is well
I'm doing great since my hysterectomy in march, i can honestly say it has made a huge difference to my life having my ovaries removed, no more pms or mood swings

Layla is its natural to be terrified of a big operation like a hysterectomy. I had laparopstic surgery carried out by robotic interface, i have four tiny red marks on my tummy. I was in hospital one night and spent a few days in bed at home and rested for six weeks. The worse part was the boredom as i felt ok and wanted to get on with things but couldn't . I can honestly say its been a good decision by me to have it. I had terrible pms, two periods a month , thickened womb lining, didn't tolerate progesterone well. Now all that has gone, I'm using a 75 estrogen patch which us holding the hot flushes at bay. I feel like i have got the old me back. Obviously its not an operation to be taken lightly but i wanted to share how positive my experience has been xx

Hi WTD,
I so envy you. I'd love to be rid of my now-redundant-but-still-a-total-pain parts, but I'm terrified of hospitals. Reading your last reply was re-assuring. I'm glad it's worked for you.
Can I ask if you had to ask for that kind of op or was it recommended?
