No oestrogen now for a month and feeling fine.
As my last cycle of Utrogestan loomed I knew this was going to be the last. I'd started to grow increasingly miserable at the thought of the progesterone phase and the following bleed and after 9 years I feel I've simply reached the point of "enough is enough". I'm happy that I've given myself 9 extra years of bone protection which with my family history of osteoporosis was one of my main concerns.
This time, I did things slightly differently because I stopped my oestrogen just prior to starting the Utrogestan. Oddly this was a relatively good Utro experience with hardly any side effects!
Whilst I'm aware there's always the possibility of going back onto HRT should I choose to, and if I don't leave it too long, I seriously doubt that will happen because my mindset's changed - at 62 I just don't want to take it any longer. I'm ready just to go with the flow now!

Good to hear. I have appointment with my GP for review of my meds & other things. Fingers crossed she doesn't say no more HRT.

Hi Stellajane
So pleased to hear that you are feeling fine after no HRT for a month.
I completely understand your comments on the progesterone phase of HRT I have been putting off taking Utro as I hate it but know I will have to take it next week !
If you could keep us updated it would be very helpful to hear how you get on.
Wishing you all the very best for the future.

Hello Stellajane.
I was interested to read your post as I am sixty and often wonder what the next step should be regarding my HRT. Hopefully you can let us know how you get on and I look forward to reading your posts.
Wishing you well .
