Went to gynae today, private simply because I suffer a lot with my vagnial area and I need time and to able to question without the clock ticking , re the never ending NHS / private discussion.
So a few bits of possibly useful info.
Firstly it's looking like a progesterone vaginal pessary is in the pipeline , which is purely for vaginal use.
Data is also looking very positive regards the safety aspects of utrogestin and the BC worries we all have using the P part of HRT.
She personally is concerned regards the casual use of T , without the understanding by GPs that is can raise women's cholesterol lipid levels , and these should be checked . She prefers the T implant for women.
She said the intimate moisturiser called " in2mate" is helping a lot of her VA ladies , I am going to order some it sounds rather good.
She recommends these sanitary products , helps those that get irritation from them called TOTT.com stands for Time of the month.
I was very impressed she had printed my VA article off and read it before I got there , and chatted about it.
She goes around educating GPs on the use of HRT.
We discussed the difference re packaging of oestrogel and the oestrodose regards the different packaging, and she said it is different and definitely effects some of her ladies differently , especially those like me who uptake it very quickly .....she said when your prescription says oestrogel and your given oestrdose you refuse it , and demand the correct prescription as per doctors orders.

Interesting, and I will definitely look up the products to help VA.
I get oestrogel and oestrodose depending on what the pharmacist has, can't say I've taken notes to see if there's any difference in how I feel. I am on a reduced rise at the moment anyway, to see how I go, 1.5 pumps, then hoping to drop to 1 if no return of symptoms.
There is also a printed label on the oestrodose, saying oestrogel. And further on the pack it says 'oestrodose' is a registered trademark of labortoise Besins, France

Thanks for posting Maryjane, I shall read and research. She sounds very switched on and interesting comments about the oestrogel and oestrodose as there was a thread about that recently. Was it Tempest who brought it up, or Gypsyroselee? Can't remember.
Thanks again for posting this on here for everyones benefit, you are a kindly soul!! x :foryou:
