Thief steals zebra crossing from outside Shropshire pub - I wasn't aware that temporary 'pads' were used ......... too tempting for someone, obviously ::)
-
I really wonder why.
You can't exactly sell it on eBay.
Bet it was a few blokes who had had one too many.
Fancy waking up with that in your front garden ;D

I wouldn't mind ;D - sounds like a student prank :D

It was a temporary one made up of panels apparently http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-40330866 The most I ever brought home was a few traffic cones!

When we were still living with parents, my brother bought home a stags head from our local. How he got it out of the pub without anyone noticing I'll never know. He used it as a tie rack for years xxx ;D

I could think of a few occasions and places where a portable zebra crossing could prove to be rather useful! ::)

We had a few issues with a lack of a safe crossing in our local town.
One woman knitted a zebra crossing and then took photos. It really made a strong point.. unfortunately we still don't have the safe crossing ::)

Sounds like student prank.
When our 2 went to secondary, they had to cross a very busy arterial route, no zebras or lights. How nobody was killed or injured beats me. Now there are crossings.

When I was about nine, we went by car to the Stirling Safari Park. Dad was driving and the animals were on the grass at either side of the roadway. Suddenly, a zebra walked out in front of the car. Dad said, "Ooh, look - a zebra crossing!" My sister got the giggles and the juice she was drinking came down her nose..... ;D
