Hi ladies, I've been on Femoston 1/10 for three months and my hair is still shedding and my moods are the same, I haven't had a bleed as yet and I'm so tired all the time. Had ten different blood tests all ok. So the doc has switched me to 2/10 and told me to start straight away. But I still have 8 progesterone tablets left on my 1/10. Should I start a fresh pack on the white tablets or start in the middle of the red progesterone tablets?? Hope somebody knows the answer xx

I'm surprised that you haven't had a response as yet. Maybe ring a local Pharmacist or your GP in the morning?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
My advice would be to finish the progesterone tablets as they are the same strenght as the progesterone in 2/10. The estogen part is higher. The progesterone will clear your lining and then you can start on the higher dose right after you finish the last tablet of the old pack.
If you start with the new progesterone tablets, you will be getting higher estrogen dose which can cause irregular bleeding.

Thank you both for your comments. I haven't had a bleed yet even though I've been on it for 3 months. The doc said to start the new pack and I asked if I should finish the 1/10 and she said no start the new ones straight away. But I'm not sure if she meant the beginning of the pack or the progesterone tablets at the stage I'm at now? Maybe it's easier to just finish the 1/10 and start the new pack in 7 days when they run out. X

I've just done this tablet change and finished the 1/10 pack before starting on 2/10 although I had a fortnight of the old ones to run and was desperate. The GP and I agreed it would probably be the best way to go...

Yes I agree - finish the old pack even though you haven't had a bleed - although in view of the latter you could start at the same point in the new pack.

Hi I started on 1/10 and periods were all over the place so after 3 months dr changed me on to 2/10 as she believed this would help balance my periods and it has. Hope this higher dose helps you too.
