Title: Spinning
Post by: jasmine5 on June 02, 2017, 06:16:20 PM
Has anyone suffered with a spinning feeling when they lay down?  It started two days ago and it feels as if my head is spinning but my body stays still.  I also feel a bit sick when it's happening.  It's horrible, It's similar to the feeling you get when you've had too much to drink and lay down.  I've read about Vertigo but I haven't had a cold or any illness.   I've made a Gp appointment but it's not until next week.  Just looking for a little reassurance.

It could be labyrinthitis http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Labyrinthitis/Pages/Introduction.aspx  A few of my friends have had this over the last two months and two of my sons have had it. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes all the time, its to do with an inbalance of the little "stones"" as my Dr called them in the inner ear, he actually gave me some exercises to try to help, could also be low blood pressure, but I think check your ears first.

BPPV benign positional proximal vertigo is a possibility?

Look up "  epley  manoeuvre " and " Brandt daroff" exercises.
