Title: Something light hearted - Love Honey and HRT
Post by: Chris2107 on May 30, 2017, 10:23:12 AM
Well the HRT is doing its stuff but the ADs tend to depress one's sex drive - so I thought I would put a bit of spice in our 27 year old life together.

For the first time in my life I decided to buy a red baby doll nightie - from Love Honey. First and only time I wore it I got very hot and sweaty in the night. Thought I was coming down with more menopause problems and woke up thinking I would need to ask GP to up the HRT.

But then I saw what had happened to my cotton sheets...they had turned pink overnight. Turns out baby doll fabric was not breathable and as a result caused me to sweat the colour out of it and onto the bed. Life lesson here - there are reasons why women of a certain age wear natural fabrics only.

Love Honey - maybe should be renamed Love Washing... ;D

;D ;D ;D Sorry really shouldn't laugh.  Hope you get the dye out of your sheets.

I once tried buying something special to wear in the bedroom. Rather than a night of passion, my feelings were immediately deflated when hubby laughed at my attire. I was so hurt. He did however say I didn't need to buy such things, but the moment had passed!

Men.

I would have thumped him Cuba Girl.

Wonder if they would make that kind of effort for us or does taking off socks count.

Thank goodness socks have never been a problem!  ;D I'd bought from a certain high street shop, except it was a party at someone's house as we didn't have shop in those days. Mine was mild compared to some of the things some bought.  ::)

I was most put out that the Large size barely covered me - I am a busty size 12 - and they dont make them any larger.

As for the piece of cheese wire they sent with it instead of proper panties - good job I avoided them otherwise I would be pink where the sun certainly does not shine  ;)

OOoh that did make me smile this afternoon!  Too hot for me to wear anything in bed so I go for the "natural crumpled look"  ;D  Just hope we don't have a fire .....

Speaking of fire, the Love Honey outfit would have probably issued a few sparks on its own !!

Sexy outfits are seriously overrated - love the cheese wire comment too

Good call re Ann Summers. Had one of her parties for my 40th and think I must have won the crotchless panties then. They have been a real boon to help keep me cool "down under" during the menopause. Will pay Ann Summers a visit very soon  ;)
