Title: Delaying period on hrt
Post by: ammie25 on May 17, 2017, 07:36:05 PM
I am on femeston 2/10 but I am due to go on holiday for 3 weeks in July and I would love to avoid having a bleed.  Is there anyway of doing this with my tablets or can the doctor give me anything? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Hi there - this has been discussed several times before - look back through the threads in this section or personal experiences and you will see by the title. It really depends if you are peri-menopausal and how near to menopause  as to whether sticking to oestrogen only or sticking to the progesterone part will delay the bleeding, as well as the timing of the last period before you go away. The only guaranteed way to delay a period as far as I know, if you are peri-menopausal, is to go to the doc and take norethisterone. Others may have other suggestions?
