Hi all
Just wanted to share recent developments re the above. Some may remember I was actually prescribed testosterone on the nhs, firstly intrinsa (sadly discontinued), then testogel. Unfortunately for me I was never able to use the testogel as every time I tried I had a reaction - jittery feelings + headache. I tried dozens of times and could never get past this.
Anyway, more recently whilst discussing it on this forum it was suggested to me (by Annie, so thank you Annie) to try an alternative namely testim. I hadn't because I presumed it would be the same thing. So i went along to my (male) GP who was very supportive and wrote me prescription for testim without a quibble. He also thought it would be the same stuff but said to go back if it didn't work and he would re-refer me. Long story short I've been using a small pea sized blob for a week with NO side effects. More importantly I've noticed an immediate increase in both energy and mood. I'm overjoyed, to think I've had that prescription sat there for 2 years before I've actually got to this point. I know it may take a while to work on response but that's fine I'm cautiously optimistic. Feeling happy x

Regards Wxx

I did mine on bikini line/bottom of tummy x

Thanks Annie,
Hoping you continue to feel good on Tibolone. I really liked the way it eased my anxiety/mood just a shame the dizziness got worse.
Take care Wxx

Hurdity puts the gel on her thighs I think x

I put it on my lower tummy. I do use slightly more than a pea daily though, a use a sachet a week.

Hi peri - glad you are OK with Testim - although the two products contain exactly the same formulation and concentration of testosterone, they have different excipients (inert stuff the T is mixed with) so this could account for the difference you experienced?
Warwick01 - I was told to apply to inner thigh. However I got a bit hairy there ( as advised by the hospital pharmacy who dispensed it), and the hairs were growing not only on the application site but around my upper thigh. Obvs I can shave these off but I now apply to the little hollow just on the inside of and just above the knee. It is readily transported through the skin and somehow I didn't fancy putting it that near my ovaries/uterus/vagina! The intrinsa patch was applied I think to the front abdomen though, rather than buttock.
I can't remember what other HRT you are taking now warwick01 - I thought you were on Tibolone?

Hi Hurdity thanks, yes I feel you're right, that's my thinking also that must be the case.
Hi Warwick I apply mine to my inner thigh currently but will switch if I get any problems x

It's going really good Annie thanks for asking. I've just been saying it really has proved to be the missing link for me. Both my mood and my energy have remained consistently good and I am thrilled x
