Hi I'm new to this forum, it was confirmed in July 2016 that I was going through the menopause I am 51 and was having terrible night sweats so my doctor put me on Elleste Duet 1mg but in January the night sweats started again so he put me on Elleste Duet 2mg all was good but now the night sweats have returned, any advice from anyone who's has experienced similar symptoms before I see my doctor greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you may need to change your regime where you can increase yourself until the sweats stop, are they bothering you enough to change hrt ?

I managed to get an appointment with my doctor and he said there is not a lot of room to move around with the tablets as I am already on 2mg so he has prescribed me 100mg gabapentin to take at the same time of my Elleste Duet 2mg so hopefully this will sort out my night sweats

Have you tried a Chillow - its a cold pillow :D
You can buy them off Amazon, they are not expensive at all. Just slips inside the pillow case. Am extra interested as I take Elleste Duet 2 mg also - but they seem to have sorted my sweats for me.
let us know how you get on?

It could be that as you've moved further into post menopause your oestrogen levels have fallen again. I found this happened to me and I had to up my dosage for a while. You may find in time this settles.
Are you only having night sweats? Usually the daytime flushes return also. Could it be you're just getting too hot in bed with the changing seasons? I often have what feel like sweats on a mild night and generally sleep much better when its chilly.
Some women (I'm one of them) only ever suffer/ed night sweats. I've never had a hot flush in the day x

Annie, I never did either. Until now......This last week, all hell has broke lose since I had the adrenal function test. Good grief!!!! :o

HOw weird you've developed them now bless you ? Last summer I had some episodes of a hot tummy but put it down to the weather. I remember my mum, she'd say it started from her feet just riding to her head. First time round I only had severe night sweats, now halving Tibolone I get the odd night one but nothing that bothers me xxx

Hoorah! It sounds like things are settling down for you nicely, Annie! :P
I'm gutted about the flushes. And I have night sweats too btw.......it's pants......... :o

I can't remember when I last had one, probably a week ago. They are maybe once/twice weekly but all those years ago I'd have a few a night, every night xx

I had night sweats only for over a decade. The daytime hot flushes and chills only started in September.
They all stopped when I started taking Tibolone.

I've only ever had night ones too. I'm always cold in the day.
I'm on Qlaira at the moment and what I have found is on that when I move into the pills that have the 3mg progesterone the night sweats return. The 2mg Progesterone is fine. Progesterone must somehow play a part in them too.

dhaliagirl has just posted in my Qlaira post that progesterone raises the basal body temperature. I think this is what is happening with me with Qlaira. Could it be the progesterone is too high for you?
