Hi, I've just turned 50 and was told by the doctor about 12 months ago that I'm perimenopausal.
I came off the mini pill a couple of months ago but seem to be suffering with the after effects, some bleeding for a couple of days every 2-3 weeks then discharge turning brown and yucky! I'm having a new Mirena coil fitted on Thursday.
I found a lump in my breast, no other symptoms and visited the doctor last week. He didn't seemed to be overly concerned and said he would refer me to the clinic for reassurance. I've just had the appointment through for the breast clinic for next week. I'm panicking slightly as I have a tingling sensation in my left boob. Is this a normal thing to experience during menopause or could it be related to the lump I've found.
The problem is, the symptoms you get with menopause can be attributed to many other things. How do I know what is menopausal and what isn't.
Someone else's experiences may be useful.

Tingling boob is quite common. I have had so much tingling during peri and also get very painful left breast. I've had two mammograms and all OK.
Tingling is related to nerve damage. Physio said my muscles were tight causing tingling as the tight muscles were pressing on the nerves. Your lump may be a cyst that is pressing on a nerve in your breast. Good luck at breast clinic, try not to worry.
