Hi
I have been using Vagifem since September 2016. Firstly twice a week and more often since January (on advice). I have noticed my weight creeping up. Has anyone else noticed this? Could there be a connection. I am not on full systemic HRT or any other medication.

No - but my weight tends to stay the same anyway.
The only unwanted effect I noticed was more bleeding. It was hard to pin this on vagifem as I was getting more frequent random bleeds anyway at the time.

No, I have used it for 6 years now and I weigh 2kg less than when I started it.
In my experience hormonal upheaval can interfere with your weight. I am now well post meno and everything is more stable, including my weight :)
Other factors can affect weight, have you had your thyroid levels checked?

Nope. Eating more causes weight gain or occasionally, illness.
Hormones in general may cause weight gain/loss but there is so little uptake in local oestrogen replacement that it is un-likely.

Thanks everyone.
