Title: flushes after hysterectomy
Post by: walking the dog on April 08, 2017, 11:39:19 AM
I restarted estradot this week after 5 weeks off it after total hysterectomy. My gp said start on 25 for 2 weeks and if not working up to 50 .
Well after three days on 25 I upped to 50 as before hysterectomy I was on 50 and it worked. When I originally started estradot 50 February 2016 my flushes went in 24 hours.
This time estradot isn't working its magic so quickly.im boiling hot in day and dripping wet all night im feeling quite distressed by it.
I know this is only day six on estradot but as it worked so fast the last time im now thinking its not enough at 50 ?
Should I ask my GP for 75 or should I perservere at 50 for a,few more weeks?
Xx

As a test you could try snipping some off of a new one and adding that ? X

Sadly I cant add more as I don't have enough patches I have to wait four weeks to try the doses suggested by gp then rung for more, before then I cant get any more as she wants me to give it a good go 😞

Don't wait.  Chart how you feel over the next 3-4 days then ring the Surgery for advice.  You may find that a prescription is written so that you can experiment.
