Hi Lynne13 - FemSeven are known to be really bad at sticking so maybe your patches aren't stuck properly to your skin? The hormones are contained in the adhesive so if this is not activated properly then you wont be getting the full dose. Have you had any problem with them coming off?

Hi Taz2
I did have a problem at first but now the last 3 have stuck well. I'm looking at going back to gp and ask for stronger as I feel that if I'm not  :-\getting no relief I may as well not be on HRT if it isn't working

I was just going to suggest if the patch is sticking well then maybe you need a higher dose  :D

Did you want to stick (!) with patches? I don't think there is a higher conti patch. You would possibly need an oestrogen only patch which come in higher strengths but would then need to add in a progesterone. Someone else will be along soon who can explain it in more detail I'm sure.

Also some women seem to find find that taking continuous combined HRT is more difficult because of the progestogen - and need a higher dose oestrogen to control flushes so I would go with Taz's suggestion and ask for a separate oestrogen and progestogen. Also possibly think about going back to a cycle ( and having a withdrawal bleed). First maybe try Femseven sequi or else a different patch eg 75 mcg and either utrogestan or Provera? All the different types are listed under TREATMENTS/HRT preparations ( top tabs).
