Title: Is tibolone suitable if i have an intact uterus?
Post by: Cirhossa1 on March 10, 2017, 03:33:41 PM
Hi there,

I have an intact uterus.

I have horrendous withdrawal bleeds from my previous trials of get and have read up on tibolone.

It appears to fit the bill, but when i asked my GP he said it isn't suitable for anyone with an intact uterus.

Help please.

Hi Cirhossa1

 :welcomemm:

What is your doc talking about? Absolute rubbish! It is mostly prescribed for women who are post-menopause and who still have a uterus, although sometimes also prescribed for women who have had a hysterectomy too.

Where on earth did your doc get that info from? Not sure what "get" is and presume this is a typo? Is it a type of HRT or CCP?

I think you need to see a different dr.  Tibolone is for post menopause for women with or without a uterus x
