I am finally going through the menopause (last period approx 1 year ago) having spent 5 plus years with irregular at times very heavy periods. I'm 57 so late for the menopause. I can cope for the most part with feeling hot, but I'm really struggling with low mood and a feeling of negativity. Sleeping is not good also. Husband retired and we moved house 15 months ago. I seem to spend my days feeling guilty about moving and am often quite tearful. I work part time from home by my job is very demanding and can be stressful. I know I'm not going mad but I feel, like an alien in a sea of fog.

Have a Good Cry, clears the brain ::).
Moving is stressful. How were your moods during your menstruating years? Are you taking any form of HRT? Have a browse round, make notes!

Poor you Debbie have you thought about HRT it can help the but choice is yours it can take a while to work but should make you feel much better.

Sending you lots of hugs. I am soon to be 57 and my last period was only 53 days ago so I am just behind you. You are not alone. Were you almost 57 when you had your last one? There are a few of here on here in this age group, so have a read around and know you are not going mad, and are very special and your body is reacting to all the changes.xx
