Apparently taken to a cleaners who went 'bust' and the family mourned ........ however  :bounce:

So great to have a happy ending to this story. Saw this on the news and the dress looked so wonderful as well.  At a time when girls often spend a fortune on a dress they never wear again, what a fabulous example of, tradition, up-cycling and romance. DG x

Yes a happy ending. Apparently it was still in the dry cleaning premises but was in a pile of what had been assumed to be a pile of lace!
