Well it's now over a year since my last period so think I've made it to menopause! Story so far - peri lasted about 5 years with most noticeable part being the last 2-3 years. Did not go for HRT (so far) have had some success with prozac as it helped reduce hot flushes a bit, especially night sweats. Worse thing for me right now is joint pain so going to try some remedies for that, hoping that might reduce as I get further into meno 🤔 Enjoy reading everyone's journeys and hope my input helps 👍

Hi lily - I agree with sparkle about getting your vitamin D and calcium checked. Thanks for the update!

Vitamin D, Magnesium and Omega 3 all help with aching joints. Daily brisk walks are also great for reducing aches and pains. Dg x

Thanks for the update! As oestrogen levels drop off so muscles may become lax = aches and pains >:( ::) as well as causing all-over dryness: skin, vagina, eyes ......... over-the-counter pain relief as necessary, train yourself how to bend/lift - my worst habit is not kneeling when loading the dishwasher then I get sciatica ::) !

That's good news Lily! :)
You can get a good liquid supplement which contains, D, Magnesium and Calcium - I saw it in Tesco. It's a good idea to have all three combined as each helps the absorbtion of the other. xxxx
