Title: Vaginal Utrogestan causing irritation
Post by: juwi on January 21, 2017, 09:36:36 AM
I am on daily Sandrena with day 16-26 of utrogestan. I was taking utrogestan orally but it was causing digestive issues so my Dr suggested I switch to taking it vaginally. The digestive issues have disappeared but I'm finding that the utrogestan is causing me vaginal irritation - similar to thrush, but it goes away when I stop the utrogestan.

Does anyone have this problem?

Quite a few ladies have reported having vagina/bladder irritation when using it this way unfortunately. I used to try and insert it up high as possible so it was away from the urethra and outside opening. If it ain't one thing its another eh !  ;)

Hi juwi - yes I get some irritation when using utrogestan. Mainly labial itchiness at the top! Could be embarrassing but I put up with it on a long cycle and doesn't always happen - most usually towards the end of the course.

Thanks ladies. Sounds like it's not uncommon.   :(
