Hello ladies. I have a skirt in a stretchy, suedette/"peachskin" fabric which I love, but which I don't know how to clean. I got it in a small dress shop that sells a lot of one-off things - I suspect it's hand-made, as there is no label inside it. Because of this, I've no idea how to clean it. Should it be hand-washed? Dry-cleaned? Stuck in the washing machine at a low temperature? Pass. Would be grateful for any tips! :)

Take it to a cleaner for advice, one who specialises in leather etc., or to an outlet that sells leather handbags/clothing? Is it suade-like?

If it's 'moleskin' dulciana, it can be hand washed, flat dried and ironed inside out with a medium hot iron. However, as CLKD suggested, if there are no care labels, I would take it to a dry cleaners and discuss with them. Without a care label, they may be reluctant to clean it or offer advice on how you should care for it at home though. Good luck! x

Thanks CLKD and Elizabethrose. It's not "moleskin" - more a thin, stretchy suede-ish type of fabric. I'll take it round to the dry cleaners ASAP.
:thankyou:

I didn't mean moleskin as in a mole's skin but a brushed cotton fabric that feels like a suede. See below;

dulciana, you may already realise this though! xx
