Title: Valentine Card anyone??? Grrrrrrr.....
Post by: Justjules on January 04, 2017, 12:50:10 PM
Could not believe my eyes yesterday.....went to M&S to buy a birthday card for my niece and turned round to find a whole section of Valentine's Day cards - I actually said out loud "Oh for goodness sake"!!!  Why can't we just wait to get one event over with before they have to ram another one down our throats straight away???  Sorry, must have got out of bed the wrong side today  ;D

Easter eggs in Sainsbury's !  Theres no such thing as seasonal now. Christmas is mixed up with Halloween and now Easter eggs are sharing shelves with Christmas sale stuff.  Its awful.

I don't think seeing valentine cards is that bad. It is only just over a month away. What's worse is that my local supermarket had hot cross buns on sale on boxing day.

Dana, a couple of weeks after Christmas maybe but who buys a valentine card a month before the event in all honesty?

Well I suppose you could say who would to buy a Christmas card a month before. Obviously lots of people do. Maybe they're people who are super organised or maybe they are posting them overseas.

It's all about money.  That's why I don't really like cards, even Birthday cards.
Just look how Halloween has exploded commercially, over the last decade.
It's just money out of our pockets >:(
