Title: Final menstrual period experience
Post by: nearly50 on December 27, 2016, 05:35:07 PM
This article https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3232023/
states that

Quote
After age 40, the median time from occurrence of these bleeding markers of late transition to FMP was on average 1.5-2.3 years for at least 90-days of amenorrhea and 2.6-3.3 years for the other three bleeding markers

and I wondered if this tied in with the experience of anyone here.

I'm on 78 days and counting and I know anything could happen, but have a vague feeling of control if I look at stats and reports, and work out how long I may have to go.

This was interesting. I like how they compiled the info from different studies in one place.
