I know I have brought this up before, but every so often I get a pain in my left arm and then I start to panic. my heart has been checked out and I was told it is fine, but my anxiety is always about my heart. I am in week three of hrt( estradot patch 50mg) I had hysterectomy 4 and a 1/2 years ago, could this anxiety just be my body getting used to hrt?. I have gotten this arm pain on and off for years, and my logical head says it is nothing to worry about, but as we all know when panic takes hold all logic goes out the window. the real annoying part is I had a really good day yesterday, and now bang feels like one step forward and two steps back. please anyone else get these aches and pains and reassure me that its just hormonal

You have been having them years and your still here.
I have all sorts firing off in my body here there and everywhere and ignore 99% of it.
I have decided when my times up , it's up.

Yep. When my Number is called ……… what type of pain in the arm? I find if I use my NintendoDS too often my arm and chest ache ……… ::) as well as having massive reflux in the early hours occasionally and I always wonder 'is this it?' Still here ;-).

Thank you all for your replies, It never ceases to amaze me how your mind can play tricks on you. As I said my logical head knows there is nothing wrong with my heart, but sometimes logic goes out the window, fluctuating hormones can make you feel so anxious and uneasy

I was going to say that maybe because you felt well yesterday, you might have done too much and hurt your arm without realising ? or carried your shoulder bag for a longer time, this is what happens to me, and when I realise the weight of my bag its no wonder I have pain in my arm and shoulder. Yes the logical side is you have had thjs before, probably stressed over it as you have done today, and realised it was nothing to worry about but that doesnt help when you suffer from health anxiety . Might I suggest you right down straight away how you felt today when you had the pain and how you feel now when its ok again . Then you can refer back the next time it happens as it probably will .

Good idea to keep a note: I have a score of 1-5 for anxiety: 0 is none at all, 5 is grabbing for the anti-anxiety meds..
I carried a heavier than 'normal' bag recently and could feel my arm and shoulder beginning to ache >:(. Even swapping from shoulder to shoulder didn't help ::)

Great idea keeping notes, maybe eventually I will start so see a pattern and this will surely help me relax and not worry so much as I will know it's hormonal
