Title: Missing meds
Post by: Springer on December 04, 2016, 02:00:49 PM
Hi, I did not take enough meds on holiday with me (femoston 10). Feel really daft as had only started a couple of weeks. I was away for over 3 weeks on trekking holiday. Felt ok while away for most part and I spaced out the meds. Guessing I missed equivalent of about a week but not in one go. Had belled while away as predicted with progesterone at end of pack. Hot flushes have not surprisingly returned and anxiety/ low mood since coming back and going back to work has increased. Have taken every day for a week now. Hope I haven't set myself back. Guess just have to be patient given mistake.

I did that a couple of years ago.  Got to spain and unpacked and realised I'd left my oestrogen hrt at home.  I panicked at the thought of 11 days without it !

The amazing thing is I felt no different during the holiday or after when I resumed taking them

I often think back to that time and wonder how I'd feel if I just come off hrt altogether

X

Don't worry too much.  I occasionally miss my ADs and feel a little off for a couple of days …….  ::)

You should get back to normal quite quickly.  I find I get symptoms within 24 hours of missing a pill but it only takes 2-3 days to get back to normal.
